I like the video. I like what you had to say, you've been a big inspiration to me. Ok now comes the but. I thought the music was a bit fast paced and loud to be background music. I thought it was a little distracting and it took away from you. Other than that another great video.
I agree that music with words would definitely be too distracting. It's not that I don't like techno. I just thought it kept drawing my attention from you. I always love hearing what you have to say and I'm looking forward to your next one. I really liked the tire analogy too.
As always, I found it very inspiring and totally relatable. It's incredible how much these little tid-bits of advice can help along the way, especially when we begin to hit those inevitable plateaus. I also loved the flat-tire analogy, what a great (and creative) way to put it. Finally, just wanted to say that since I've started to visualize my goal as "being healthier" rather than "being a size so-and-so", I actually have found that my frustration is much less and my small successes a bit more. Thanks for helping to put things into perspective. Truly an inspiration!
Your video made me cry happy tears. Seriously... when you said "you are doing a good job" and you were talking about getting to that goal eventually and not to worry about the numbers on the scale, that really brought things into perspective for me. I have been "number watching" for 3 weeks now and I got so discouraged today when it said that I had gained 2 lbs after already losing 8 lbs.
Going back and reading your earlier blogs have eased my mind about those little pounds that come and go because of period bloat, salty food, and occasional binges while I'm out of my element.
I loved your video and once again, thank you so much for being a support system for me and every other person struggling with weight loss!!

Thank you so much for the feedback!
I had another version of this v-blog with songs by Cold Play and Mika.
My husband said that it was too distracting, because he was listening to the words of the songs and not me, so I replaced the songs with techno.
Hopefully 3rd time will be a charm for my v-blog!
I loved it! I really needed the "flat tire" analogy. Great way to think about the process.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to make the videos, they are wonderful!
oh!..and was the MIKA song the "big girls" song? I just heard that today, and I LOVED it!
I merged the comments, and updated the video!
I removed the distracting Techno, and kicked it off with Mika's "BIG GIRL, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL."

Hi Jess!!!
I have been reading your blog off and on for over a year but always think--I can't do it.
A few days ago I had a dream I had a heart attack--and that was the wake up I needed to kick my fat arse into gear.
I came back to your blog today to see what was new and was happy to see your video.
It really made me put 2 and 2 together that YOU are what I could be--- if I will take the steps...
so here I go...thanks for the motivation and inspiration.
