First off, let me apologise for the long span between posts. I got so caught up in enjoying the Summer - I never found the time to make a new post!
I kept thinking, "Nothing to report! Life's great!"
I hope you are preparing for a happy, healthy, and safe 4th of July weekend!
Here is a funny video about getting healthy. I lost my weight just as they say by eating less (I made healthier choices, not really less) and moving more.
I would like to thank Starr for giving me the link to this video. It really made me giggle, and feel happy that I am losing weight the best way!

You are so amazing and such an inspiration! I am starting my own weight loss adventure (though adventure makes it sound exciting lol) and I stumbled upon your site. I want to be healthier, for myself, my fiance and someday our future children. I love seeing a real person losing the weight in a real way. Your before and after pictures aren't some ad for some sort of pill, exercise machine or diet, it's just a real person losing weight the only healthy, realistic way to do so. I hope my results are even half as good as your were!
Congrats on your weight loss success! I have been struggling with my weight since early nineties. I lose some then gain it all back. I keep trying though. You are such an inspiration. I love the LessJess Tips. So true about weighing yourself everyday. Whenever I stop weighing myself, I know I must be gaining...
I am much older than you are, 42 to be exact. I am 5 feet 9 inches and I weight 277 pounds currently. I am a size 22/24 and would like to be a 14/16. I will come back and re-read your posts and tips 'cause they are so inspiring! You look absolutely stunning in the matron of honor pictures at your sister's wedding. Keep up the good job and wish me luck:)
Thanks for the obvious work you've done, posting your story and your ongoing journey. Thanks for your Aaron, too, who is clearly supporting and helping you. I am on a journey, too, and I'm glad to have your site bookmarked to refer back to on those days when I'm feeling depressed and discouraged, and ready to inhale a box of cookies. It gives me hope to know that you have done as well as you have. I can do this.

You're very inspiring & love your attitude. The video was hilarious.
Hello :)
You have made such an impressive effort and lost so much weight (nevermind changing your whole lifestyle!). It really is such an inspiration :)
I really enjoyed reading your tips - some I already use (~40lbs lost so far), and some I'm going to have to use (if you don't mind :))
I just wanted to mention one thing. Now this is just my opinion - but I don't believe suggesting to look at the pro-eating disorder sites for tips is a good idea.
You can't 'catch' an ed, but some people who are overweight/obese may already have self esteem issues (or ed's, like binge eating disorder), or they might be so desperate to lose weight that they will try anything. It's a slippery slope.
Thanks for your time, good luck and all the best!

Hi Jess,
How are you doing on your weight loss? I haven't been on your site in a while, as I'm looking around I don't see any mention of how much weight you've lost. How many pounds have you lost since Jan. 1 this year? I hope you're being good to yourself, honest with yourself...you've been a great inspiration to others in their weight loss journey.
Here's hoping you're under the 200 mark and back on your way to that lower weight you reached on your journey.
No need to post this, just wanted to touch base with you. Good Luck!

(at present i've lost 75...44 to go)
You have done such a great job. Keep up the good work.
I LOVED this :) Thank you for the laugh! :)
